Although, most of the feedback says the same thing, so I'm not sure why they needed to take so long to respond.

So far, there are 5000+ comments on the news post.

Who possibly could have predicted that a social, public, and discussion-loving folk such as LJ users might possibly object to the concept of easy linking of the addresses of locked entries and quoting of comments made thereto in spaces they do not control?
