Oooh, new little icon thingies! Cute. Hoping that DW continues to do things that visually differentiate them from LJ.

I had asked viciouswishes if DW could offer any features which would potentially make her re-evaluate it, and she answered as follows.

Actually, many of the features s/he seemed to be asking for are Tumblr's. Personally though, I don't find hard-coding links to be arduous at all, so those features wouldn't be very useful to me. In other words, if I post something, it'll probably in the form of a link anyway, because I don't want to have to show you a big huge picture that it'll take a long time to load.

Quizzes are an interesting idea, one which I hadn't seen proposed before. Those may be worth looking into, especially not only for social-networking/fun purposes, but also for informal educational settings.

I think I saw someone mention quizzes elsewhere. I hate them, but look at Facebook, etc. I'd say 90% of the content on my FB flist is quizzes of some sort (or "my top 5 favorite X" where you have to fill out a form like a quiz rather than just making a list). People who are not me love quizzes, so as much as I want nothing to do with them, I think it would be a plus for quite a lot of people.

Yeah, I think they would be popular. Or forms. Forms might be useful, especially forms that make it easier to send people private messages w/o having to compose them in the inbox.
