Haha, what's with LJ news now?

I think they have a new person doing LJ news now, cause there's like widespread scorn and drang about the LJ news post being made without an LJ cut (again), and it being filled with Question of the Day responses and photos and possibly breaking people's friends list pages.

Also, this isn't the first time they did it: they start off the post with "In response to user comments from last week, we want to let you know that we'll remain LJ cut-free for the next month in order to get more eyeballs on our evolving newsletter."

Now that is guaranteed to get a response. Maybe not a good one, though. Is their secret wish for all of the people who complain to leave the comm?

IMHO, at some point there will be major drama involving the QotD. They'll post something that offends someone, or post answers that offend someone, or like, someone will get angry about being quoted or not attributed.
