It is entertaining. (I'm more amused than insulted by his antics)
However though, it's not really good that there's this carnival atmosphere in news, IMHO. Since it's something that new users see, and for many users, it's their only way of seeing what the staff do etc, it's not really good that it's become a free for all with few standards, IMHO. However, it would probably be an uphill battle to change the institutional culture at this point.
