Think that Tumblr will be the new social-networking platform ex-ljers will flock to, instead of dw? (I don't know anything about Tumblr, but I've noticed several people on my flist getting accounts there.)
I don't think Tumblr is attracting an LJ-preferring crowd at all. It's attracting more of an arts-based one. LJ is more about the longer text based entries, whereas Tumblr is quick n' convenient microblogging, and doesn't have the granular privacy features (or communities) of LJ.
However, Sabina told me that Tumblr is taken seriously/accepted as a blog by people nowadays (not sure exactly what she means by that).
It really depends why ex-LJers are leaving, where they would go.
